Khristina, a woman who volunteers at a woman’s shelter in her town, learned that a mother of two badly needed help. Apparently, the woman was in a pretty abusive relationship, and her partner, at some point, gave her and her two children puppies as peace offerings. Eventually, the man threatened to harm the puppies, too, so the woman decided to rehome them as soon as possible.
Khristina met with the woman, and she gladly took the puppies under her care. She promised to find them loving homes, and she did. She got one of them adopted into a nice home, and she made the other one the newest member of her family and named it Luna.
Luna was approximately between 9 and 10 weeks old when she was gifted to her first family. She stayed with them only for less than two weeks. Within the first 3 months of her life, she lived in 3 homes. Luckily for her, her third home turned out to be her forever.
The first time Luna met her new mom, she darted toward Khristina and demanded to be carried around. All she wanted was to be loved. She knew that the woman right in front of her was her perfect match.
Khristina was so happy to have Luna in her life. For a while, she searched for a new dog, and she knew Luna was the one. And with all that was going on in her life at that time, she was convinced that Luna couldn’t have come at a better time.
Luna gave her mom hope, joy, and lots of reasons to go on with life. She inspired Khristina to rescue other animals in need, so her mom started fostering horses. Eventually, goats became part of their lives, too.
Luna’s calm nature brings tranquility not just to humans but to animals, too. When the horses or the goats freak out during bad weather, she patrols their houses and pens and they’d begin to relax. They know that their Pitbull friend will keep them safe.
Khristina and Luna have such a great bond. They do chores together and they keep each other’s company all the time. They are soulmates and they definitely complete each other.
