A boy reuniting with his missing dog has TikTok in tears.
There is something to be said about the relationship between people and their pets. They just have an innate ability to understand what we’re thinking and how we’re feeling. For example, have you ever noticed how your dog behaves when you’re sad? There is just a special connection. And this video posted by Paw Must Haves (@PawMustHaves) proves that love is forever.
The video starts with a pug sitting in the front seat of a car, captioned with ‘Boy reunites with his dog that had been missing for a year’. The the video shows the pug anxiously waiting outside a school. Suddenly, the pug turns her head towards the window and gazes out towards the school.
A boy is then seen approaching the vehicle. From behind the camera, a voice cries out “Piper! Who’s that?”.
What happens next will bring you to tears. When the boy notices the pug in the car, he stops walking and his eyes begin to swell up. He bursts into tears as he sprints towards the car. As he quickly drops off his bag in the trunk of the car, the pug awaits excitedly in the car, with her tail wagging at supersonic speed.
Then the moment finally arrived, and it certainly did not disappoint. The boy embraces his dog in a bear hug, who had been missing for a year. A long, tearful moment ensues.
Understandably, the emotional reunion has touched the hearts of some viewers.
‘I teared up when he noticed the dog,’ one user commented. Another has said that the reunion caused her to ugly cry.
Pets are a part of our family.
The reaction of the boy and the millions of people who have viewed the video is unsurprising. There is an increasing number of people who recognize their pets as family. Thus, losing a pet can be a devastating and anxiety-filled experience. Fortunately, there are a lot of good people out there who dedicate themselves to finding lost pets in order to make reunions like this possible.
Just for the record, I wasn’t crying. Someone was cutting onions around here.
