However, don’t be too alarmed about Drake the dog – he “has a ramp to get out whenever he wants” and “doesn’t appear to be stuck,” according to the message overlaid on the video.
This is certainly true as the pup can be seen going up the ramp and paddling in the water later in the video.
The golden retriever calmly floats above the water’s surface for a brief moment, observing his surroundings. Moments later, the adventurous pup plunges his head into the water, immersing his entire body in a playful dive.

Do all dogs love swimming?
Swimming is an excellent exercise option for dogs, particularly for those with stiff or painful joints. It is also a refreshing way to beat the heat during hot weather.
However, you should be careful if you’re planning to take them to the beach or coastal areas – click here to find out more.
However, according to the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA), a veterinary charity in the U.K., “not every dog is a water baby.”
Certain breeds, such as those with short legs or snub noses, may find swimming to be physically demanding.
Owners should never leave their dogs unsupervised around water either warns the VCA, one of North America’s largest animal-hospital chains.
“Even dogs who are strong swimmers and have experience in the water can quickly get into trouble,” says the VCA. “For instance, they may not know how to navigate strong currents or not know where they can get out of the water.”
According to the PDSA, certain swimming spots are also safer for dogs compared to others.
These spots include lakes, dog-friendly beaches, and slow-moving rivers.
Additionally, private swimming pools or paddling pools can also provide a safe and controlled environment for dogs to enjoy a swim as well.
