AnAn was just another stray dog among thousands that wandered in the streets of Vietnam. She led a difficult life like the others but it seemed that she suffered more. Aside from the usual problems of shelter, food, and medical care, she also underwent a lot of abuse.
When people found AnAn, she was roaming the sides of a supermarket, looking for something to eat. But what set her apart from the countless other homeless dogs, was a deep gash under her neck. It looked like it didn’t receive my treatment, and has suffered from it for a long time. This broke the hearts of many people so they decided to help her out.
Constant care
AnAn’s injury was horrific. Without any medication, it got infected and swollen. It became smelly and filled with pus. The vets at the clinic were shocked and were amazed that she survived that long. They immediately set out to treat her.
They cleaned her wound and sewn it close. That stabilized her condition but she wasn’t out of danger yet. She was put under a lot of medication and she needed constant care. They had to make sure that the infection would go away. She was very undernourished so her immune system wasn’t strong enough to fight a huge wave of bacteria.
For one month, AnAn stayed in the clinic until they finally determined that she has fully recovered.
New hope
When AnAn was brought to the clinic, they had to completely shave her. She had mangy skin and matted hair. But after her stay there, she went out a beautiful creature. Her skin was finally healthy and she has grown a fluffy coat of fur.
After a short stay in a shelter, she was finally adopted by a loving family and she even has a new sibling. This is her new opportunity to lead a happy life.
