Brevard County Police in Florida, USA, have released disturbing CCTV footage of a woman drowning her dog in a pool.
Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, located 70 km east of Orlando, uploaded the chilling video to Facebook.
Erica Black is the woman accused of committing the cruel act. The 32 year-old is already incarcerated on an aggravated assault charge. Even more disturbing, she even posted a video of her drowning her Chihuahua to Facebook.
The horrifying event occurred last October according to Sheriff Wayne Ivey in a Facebook post. The video only came to light recently as the woman’s roommate handed over the footage to the local authorities.
In the Facebook post, Mr Ivey replays scenes from the home security video while delivering a scathing sermon of the event, describing it as “the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The Facebook clip has already garnered over 3,300 views and over 1000 comments.
“Absolutely despicable.”
“Erica Black is without question the most despicable excuse for a human being,” Ivey said. “There is a special place waiting for her in hell. But until then, she’ll be slowly rotting in our jail.”
According to Ivey, Black is already known to police. She was imprisoned for assault after she stabbed a 68 year-old man.
‘As bad as that was,” said Ivey, “the video of her drowning her Chihuahua is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen.”

If drowning her dog wasn’t horrifying enough, Black’s actions afterwards are even more despicable. After drowning the Chihuahua, Black video-taped the dog floating in the pool and slammed the dog’s lifeless body against the deck on four separate occasions.
At the end of the video, the handcuffed Black can be seen marching into jail with Ivey loudly berating her. However, it is unclear whether Black was being transferred within the jail or if the stunt was for the purpose of the Facebook video.
