Last week, someone spotted a dinosaur having a walk on the streets of Ottawa City. Good thing, the dinosaur looked harmless because it was a herbivore, a triceratops, to be exact. Further to the good news is that it was just a person walking a dog while wearing a triceratops costume.
The person behind the costume might have felt the effect of the community lockdown due to the novel coronavirus. But more importantly, the person behind the costume sure knows that his pooch needs to have daily walks.
With the novel coronavirus wreaking havoc in different countries, several health protocols are in place. One of which is the physical distancing. This way, the likelihood of passing the virus from one person to another is low.
The person behind the triceratops costume is surely observing the physical distancing rule. But more than this fact, the person behind the costume covered himself so he could be protected from the virus. The suit serves as the person’s mask, a piece of essential equipment to battle against the deadly virus.
While the triceratops and the dog were walking on the streets, Sandy Sharkey was able to document it. She had her phone with her during that time, so Sandy had the chance to take a photo of the cute encounter. Later that day, Sandy uploaded the picture online. The photo then received funny remarks and comments from netizens.
But more than this, the netizens lauded the person behind the costume for taking the dog for a walk. Ever since the photo and the video were uploaded, many people have shared the same to other social media platforms. Sandy did not expect that what she took would be a hit to people, but she is happy to bring happiness to people during this crisis.
This just happened in @ottawacity. Even a self-isolating dinosaur needs to walk his dog. I’m dedicating my one minute movie to all the front line workers, who need a smile! @ctvottawa @ottawacitizen @JimWatsonOttawa @cbcnews @CBCOttawa @ctvnews pic.twitter.com/gz2c1w7en8
