Humans can develop health problems as a result of being overweight. It can lead to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and musculoskeletal disorders.
People who have weight problems are not the only ones suffering from health difficulties. Animals can also be in danger if their weight gets improper management.
This happened to Kai, the golden retriever. His previous owner failed to put him on a healthy routine. Kai grew heavily to 173 pounds.
Kai’s previous owner was about to put him down because he could not get up any longer. Thanks to the concern of his veterinarian as he found a new mom for Kai.
The vet and Kai’s new mom found him unable to move properly. It even took him twenty minutes to get down the car. This showed how difficult it was for him to move.
It is a good thing that Kai’s new mom was ready for the task of transforming him into a healthy pet. This was the time when the major transformation started.
Kai’s new mom sought help from the vet, as she was unsure where to begin. They planned and made a healthier diet plan and better routines for Kai.
They had to put Kai on a strict diet. They made sure that he would not overeat and only eat healthy foods.
Kai also had daily walks to the park. They also allowed him to play with other dogs. This is part of his exercise routine.
Kai could barely take five to ten steps at first. He easily gets tired. Yet, his new mom did not give up. Their daily walks and runs have become second nature to them.
To add to his exercise routine, Kai was also allowed to play in the water. The vet believed he could do more movements in the water.
Kai began to move more after a while. He can already run and mingle more with other dogs. He also can climb up and down the stairs.
Kai has become more mobile and active. This is what his new mom would love to see in his beloved pet.
With the determination and patience of the vet and parent, Kai is now healthier and stable. His major transformation allowed him to enjoy life more.
Kai’s transformation is not only about his appearance or mobility. It is also about providing Kai with a healthier future.
