Would you let this Grinch steal Christmas?
While this adorable pooch might be picture perfect for 11 months of the year, he’s been turned into the complete opposite this Christmas. In fact, he might try and steal your heart this Christmas.
Teddy is a four year old Bichon Frise living in San Jose with his owner Gabriel Feitosa. Feitosa, a dog groomer by trade, decided to transform Teddy into the Grinch just in time for Christmas. The transformation process took almost three hours to complete.
The 29 year old Feitosa used non-toxic, vegan hair dye in order to transform Teddy’s coat from a snow white to a bright green, complete with a white and red coat. As a result, Teddy ended up with a green head, legs, and tail. His body was dyed red with strips of white running through so that it resembles Santa’s coat. Finally, Feitosa used scissors to create shapes in order to make the design alive.
Feitosa could not have felt any prouder at how the transformation turned out, and his fans love it too. Feitosa has accumulated thousands of followers on social media for his intricate and impressive dog styling works. The Grinch, Feitosa’s latest creation, has already generated over 2 million views on TikTok.
While some people have questioned the safety of these transformations, Feitosa has reassured those concerned that the products he uses are safe and FDA approved. He also makes sure that the pets are comfortable throughout the whole process and are well looked after.
How much will this cost me?
If you’re thinking about getting a makeover for your dog, the cost for transforming a small dog like Teddy starts at $280. For larger dogs, the prices start at $500. More detailed designs will cost you extra depending on the number of colours and how difficult the trimming techniques are.
