A special needs dog named Beanie never had someone who loved her so much. That was until a woman named Julie Elrod came into her life.
Beanie’s life has changed for the better. While she’s blind and deaf, she can still feel the warmth and care that her mom showers her with. Elrod, on the other hand, shows her love for her dog by dancing with her.
Here’s Elrod and Beanie’s story:
Dancing with the pup
In 2018, Elrod adopted Beanie from a shelter named Rescue Dogs Rock. Since then, she has been dancing with her pooch every day.
Elrod says that since Beanie is blind, she communicates with her through touch. Slow dancing has strengthened the duo’s unique bond despite the fact that Beanie initially didn’t want to be touched.
Elrod shares that the dog would get away from her whenever she tried to touch her before. In one way or another, their slow dances became Beanie’s therapy.
Elrod adds that even if her beloved fur baby can’t hear her, she still sings to her.
More slow dances for Beanie and Elrod
After years of slow dancing with her mother, Beanie has transformed into a pup who is now much more comfortable with being touched. And it looks like she looks forward to more dances with her favorite person.
Elrod says that Beanie has learned how to trust her completely. When they dance, Beanie usually melts into Elrod’s arms.
Elrod is more than committed when it comes to attending to Beanie’s needs. She says that she does not care about her appointments; she will always makes time every day to dance with her best friend and soulmate.
Elrod and Beanie’s slow dances have captured the attention of many TikTok users. Check out the clip below and be overwhelmed with warmth and joy.
