Who says that an excavator is only useful for digging holes? What if an excavator’s intended purpose is to save trapped puppies?
In a touching video shared on Twitter, workers can be seen rushing to rescue a dog. When workers near the irrigation channel in Pasaje Canton, Ecuador, heard that a dog was drowning in the channel over their radio, they raced as quick as they could to rescue the pooch.

The dog, although completely drenched in water, was mostly unharmed.
In the video, a man can be seen scurrying into the digger’s scoop. His co-worker, operating the digger, extends the scoop across the channel and lowers the scoop to the water level. The man reaches into the water and pulls the dog out of the water and into the scoop. The scoop moves back onto dry land and the soaked pup gets out, completing a successful rescue.
Even more heart warming is what the builders did next. According to Daily Mail, the workers all chipped in a bit of cash to get the dog to the vet. The vet treated the pup for an infection and inflammations.
