As much as we love our dogs, we know they can make quite a mess. Sometimes, it feels like all we are doing is cleaning up after our dogs all day.
However, one pooch on social media is trying to change that and keep its neighbourhood clean and tidy.
In a video trending on the “AnimalsBeingBros” subreddit, a Pit Bull Terrier walks along the sidewalk carrying an empty bottle in its mouth. The pooch then proceeds to drop the bottle next to a trash bin for its parents to put in the bin.

The dog is cleaning up the neighbourhood, one walk at a time!

Viewers on the social media platform were quick to applaud the dog’s efforts. One person commended the dogs happiness from doing the task, saying “The happy tail says it all!”
Redditor PrincessPattycakes first uploaded videos of her pooch doing clean-up duty two years ago. The popular video was accompanied by the caption, “Training to detrash our ‘hood/pick up water bottles and drop them at the garbage can is going pretty well!”
Not the only clean-up dog
However, PrincessPattycakes’s pit bull terrier isn’t the only neighbourhood clean up dog.
A Spanish Podenco named Millie, made headlines last year as well. Millie was rescued from a shelter in Spain by her owners, 80 year old Alfie Kitson and his 75 year old wife. She now helps to keep the streets of Hereford, England clean and tidy alongside her elderly owners.

According to Alfie, Millie is a highly intelligent dog and likes to show off her little trick.
“People always ask me why I do it. My response? I enjoy it, and Millie does too. Besides, it’s also keeping the city clean.”
“All I have to do is say put that in the bin, and she will go and pick up the litter. Onlookers love it and show their appreciation with a round of applause.”
Animal experts are warning dog owners about a danger that most owners aren’t even aware of.
