A woman from Louisiana named Brandi Major is so grateful to a lot of strangers for helping her get her dog back. If it weren’t for their concern, she wouldn’t have been able to find the little Yorkie that she held close to her heart.
Through the use of social media, they all got connected, and one thing led to another.
Stolen pup
Brandi’s Yorkie, named Korben, was only six months old when he went missing. The last time that they saw him was when Brandi’s daughter let the pup out in the yard. She was supposed to take her for a walk, but she decided to just leave him in their fenced-in property to roam around by himself.
When the daughter went back out, the small dog was missing, and his collar was lying on the ground. Her tags were there, and they contained all the details and contact information.
According to Brandi, the gate to their yard was open. And because the gate was heavy and difficult to move, it was likely that someone came in and stole their pet.
The dog owner became extremely worried, she started driving around their neighborhood, still hoping that she could find Korben. When that didn’t yield anything, she made posters and spread them around their community. She also posted pictures of her precious pet on social media.
Thrown out
In the meantime, a woman named Stacey Carlton found Korben. She got possession of the dog when her father-in-law saw a car throw the pup out, and he landed in a puddle. He rescued the dog and gave him to Stacey.
She took photos of Korben and posted them on various Facebook groups devoted to lost dogs. Soon after, she surrendered the puppy to the Metairie Humane Society. The shelter also posted his pictures on their page.
Eventually, someone saw the posts of both women and figured out that they were the same dog. And soon, Brandi and Stacey got in touch with each other. The dog owner was finally able to get her pup from the shelter.
Korben is now back with his family, thanks to social media and some very kind people.
