Ten Amazing Dog Rescues And Transformations From Takis Shelter

Ten Amazing Dog Rescues And Transformations From Takis Shelter

Megan Hurley June 7, 2020

Takis Shelter is a nonprofit animal rescue organization that was founded by Theoklitos Proestakis. At a time when Greece was rocked by a financial crisis that almost brought the entire country to an economic collapse, increasing numbers of dogs were being abandoned in dumpsters.

Despite having limited funds, Theoklitos felt sorry for the abandoned dogs and started rescuing them. Theoklitos gave up his profession and spent his life savings to start an animal shelter. Even with very limited funds, Theoklitos began to rescuing stray and abandoned dogs. Since starting Takis Shelter, Theoklitos has saved thousands of stray dogs and gave them a second chance to have a happy forever home.

Determined to make a difference in the lives of stray, abandoned, and neglected dogs, Takis continues to rescue them and give them sanctuary. It’s amazing to see the dogs Takis rescues transform into beautiful dogs. Most of the dogs that Takis Shelter rescues are dogs that are desperately in need of a home. Takis Shelter never refuses sanctuary to any animals that they find abandoned or neglected, and they will always have a space for them at the shelter.

Some of the dogs and other animals that Takis Shelter rescues were on the brink of death. Some are so severely injured that most people would say that it would be better to put them down. However, Takis Shelter knows that these animals still want to live, and they do everything they can to help sick or injured dogs, and other animals recover. Euthanasia will always be the last resort.

Theoklitos believes that all the dogs and other animals he rescues deserve a second chance to have a happy life. If Theoklitos believes that the animal he rescues wants to live, he will work tirelessly to help the animal recover from his or her injuries or illness. Once the animal recovers, Theoklitos will make sure that a loving family will adopt the animal.

Theoklitos even works with dogs that are considered aggressive. Theoklitos believes that aggressive dogs only act this way because humans mistreated them in the past. Theoklitos shows them love, and the dogs eventually learn that they’re in a safe place where no one will harm them ever again. Here’s a heartwarming video showing some of the most amazing animal transformations that Takis Shelter had.
