Everyone can see that dogs love to make friends. They don’t even have to try too much, and maybe that’s the key to winning potential friends over.
This Great Pyrenees named Reggie was out and about on the farm one day. He was with his hooman mom and a fellow canine, a Pug. They all enjoyed the sunny day, but none more than Reggie.
He decided to say hi to the ducks who regularly swam in the pond. The ducks are named Willie and Waylon, and like Reggie, they’re spirited and fun-loving.
The routine is, the duckies wait for the dog by the door. On days that the water birds don’t make an appearance there, Reggie goes straight to the pond to play. They’ve got their schedule down pat!
As expected, the dog found the fowls having fun in the water. Reggie didn’t wait for an invitation and went straight into the pond, lunging and splashing his duck buddies.
Willie and Waylon retaliated by flapping their wings and gliding over to splash and peck at the dog. The surprised Pyrenees hurriedly got out of the water, knowing he had a better advantage if he did.
Another surprise waited for him because the water birds followed him on land, and the dog had no choice but to run. Mom couldn’t stop filming and laughing while all this went on.
Reggie shook the water off from his coat before plunging into the pond once more. This time, he was the aggressor, and the birds flapped and glided away. That didn’t stay that way for long, though.
The waterfowls retaliated, forcing Reggie to get out of the pond, with the ducks in hot pursuit. We’re sorry we laughed at your retreating form, Reggie, but know that you made our day better!
