A two-month-old puppy named Lelya happily played outside her home when a tragic accident occurred. Without any warning, a speeding car hit her and left her in unbearable pain. She couldn’t walk without falling to the ground and every little movement she made brought her agony.
Instead of bringing her to the vet’s clinic for treatment, her ower locked her up in a cage inside their yard. She did not receive any medical attention so she had no choice but to endure pain for days. Without pain meds, all she could do was whine and moan to at least lessen her suffering.
Lelya’s condition worsen and she deteriorated fast. Fortunately enough, a kind neighbor stepped up and reached out to the local dog rescue group called Domashny Dog Shelter. And quickly, rescuers came and pulled her out of her hell hole.
The rescuers promised Lelya that they will do everything for her to get better. They also assured her that she will no longer be in languish. And they started fulfilling their word by taking her to the vet for treatment.
It took the vets longer than usual to treat and clean Lelya’s injuries because they were already senile. Thankfully, they managed to contain the infection. And to ensure her continuous recovery, they had her stay at the hospital for a few days.
Within a week, Lelya improved a lot. She stumbled when she walked but she was able to stand on her own without falling to the ground. And a couple more days later, she was already playing and running with the rest of the rescue puppies and dogs.
Lelya continued to receive the best care while she was at the shelter. She flourished under the care of her rescuers. She bounced back and proved that no matter her issues, she will thrive.
In no time, Lelya left the shelter to be with her adoptive family. She was happy to be in a completely different environment, but she was more delighted for the second chance in life that she received.
