For thousands of years, our doggos had been relying on us for a lot of things. They need us for their food, as their playmate, and as their best buddy. But sometimes, puppers can show the world that they can be independent, and it shouldn’t be a big surprise as we weren’t around to support them before their domestication.
Nowadays, puppers can be independent but just in small aspects of their lives. They are our best buds and our furry companions and we depend on each other for a lot of things. But that doesn’t mean they can’t do some activities on their own. Just take the case of Simba, for example.
This independent pup from Tel Aviv, Israel, had become pretty famous around the world. He is known as the doggo who could walk himself and carry bags for his human. Although we’ve seen doggos that could carry their own leashes, Simba is probably the first one who could also carry bags around.
The pup’s dad, Nadav Lorber, noticed that his pooch was very good at carrying his own leash. Simba had become an expert at doing this, that he even started carrying other dogs’ leashes with his mouth. It creates the illusion that they are walking themselves. But of course, there is human supervision involved.
Nadav then taught his Golden Retriever to carry paper and grocery bags. The dog dad claims that Simba could carry up to three grocery bags, but he couldn’t walk too far with them as they are pretty heavy. It’s good to know that Nadav is also mindful of Simba’s welfare while he is carrying these things for him.
Whenever they are out in public, Simba is definitely a head-turner. Who wouldn’t stop and gaze at a doggo who’s carrying his own leash or a grocery bag? See Simba and his unique antics in the video below.
