Needless to say, a lot of dogs seem to know what to do in case their humans suddenly fall ill or suffer from health-related issues. A black-and-white rescue pup named Bunny proved just that after saving her owner’s life when he fell on the floor due to a stroke.
Here’s Bunny’s amazing story.
Bunny to the rescue
Chad Mason, Bunny’s human, had a cerebral stroke in his bathroom. He fell to the floor, and the right side of his body could not move.
Bunny, on the other hand, knew that something was wrong. She started to freak out, according to Mason.
Despite his medical emergency, Mason was able to crawl to the front door. He pushed it open, hoping that his dog would somehow seek help.
Thankfully, Bunny bolted outside and ended up in the driveway where she kept on barking. Thankfully, the dog’s barks caught the attention of a neighbor named Misty Gore who was living across the street.
By then, Mason had already rolled outside. Gore saw that his neighbor was in distress.
Gore called an ambulance and sat with Mason until the first respondents showed up. Eventually, Mason was given medical attention. He faced a long recovery, but he could already walk and go to work. His speech also improved.
Mason was convinced that he would not have survived the ordeal without Bunny’s quick and intuitive action.
Bunny’s past life
Four months prior to this Mason’s medical emergency, Bunny was just a stray dog. When Mason moved into his current home, the dog ran up and crawled under his leg.
Initially, Mason took Bunny to an animal shelter in Stark County. But within a week, he had a change of heart and decided to adopt her.
Well, this decision paid off in the end. Bunny seemingly returned the favor by saving her owner’s life.
