Dog Owner Uses His Home Security Camera To Tell His Dog To Get Back In The House

Megan Hurley February 9, 2023

Most homeowners today install some form of a home security system. It’s a great way to keep your home safe from intruders, but it also serves as a way to see or record what’s going on around your home. Even if you’re away, your mind would be put at ease since you can access your home security system’s cameras through the internet and see what’s going on in real-time. Some of the systems are even equipped with speakers, which you can use to talk to whoever is visiting your home.

One homeowner discovered a new way to use his home security system. He often uses his home security system to keep an eye on his pet dog. This way, he would be able to keep track of everything his dog does.

However, he found another use for his home security system. When his dog, Sadie, escaped her home’s yard, her movement was spotted by the home security camera which automatically sent an alert to the homeowner. The motion detector feature proved to be quite useful since Sadie’s dad was instantly aware that Sadie had escaped the yard and was already out in the street.

Sadie’s dad realized that he forgot to lock the side gate and Sadie discovered a way to open the gate and let herself out. Luckily for Sadie’s dad, the home security system alerted him about it.

Sadie’s dad was still panicking since he wasn’t there. All he could really do was look at the screen and potentially see Sadie walk away to explore and eventually get lost. Thankfully, he immediately realized that the security system also had a speaker, which he could use to tell Sadie to get back inside. Sadie’s dad prayed that Sadie would listen and recognize his voice when he started talking.

Thankfully, as soon as Sadie’s dad started talking, Sadie recognized her dad’s voice and listened. Sadie immediately went back inside the yard through the open side gate and waited for her dad to get back home. Sadie’s dad stated that he couldn’t imagine what would’ve happened if he didn’t have his home security system.

Sadie would likely have gone further to explore and had gotten lost. Thanks to the home security system that her dad installed, this was prevented from happening. Watch the video featuring Sadie’s escape story and how her dad used the home security system to order Sadie to get back inside.
