Do you own Victoria’s cheekiest dog?
News.com.au is on the lookout for the cheekiest dog in Victoria, could your dog take out the title?
Meet some of the competitors.
Meet Luke, a dog that digs so much that he’s transformed his owner’s backyard.
Luke is a Maremma Sheepdog crossed with a New Zealand Huntaway Sheepdog whose passion is to create gigantic holes in the ground.
In fact, Luke’s passion for digging has drove his parents insane. The 18 month old pooch managed to dig a massive tunnel underneath his owner’s pristine and lush lawn Point Lonsdale.

In fact, the tunnel is so big and wide that Luke can easily disappear inside the underground tunnel. Given his large build, it’s actually pretty impressive how much digging Luke has done. Worst of all, the tunnel’s entrance is located right in the middle of the backyard.
His owner Vicki has tried her best to stop his behaviour, but nothing can stop Luke from enjoying his favourite activity. She has increased the amount of exercise he gets every day, and also provided him with multiple toys and bones to keep him entertained.
In an act of desperation, Vicki has resorted to putting a giant mesh cover over the tunnel entrance to prevent the tunnel from collapsing.
All she can do now is wait until Luke digs up the next tunnel in her yard.

In the sleepy town of Ballarat, about 100 kilometres west of Melbourne, Fern is wrecking her family home. The 18 month pound hound loves to chew on anything she can get her teeth into.
For example, Fern has managed to chew through two pillows, an entire couch, a whole pot of freshly made curry, an entire loaf of bread, and too many dog mats that her owners have lost count.
Furthermore, the mischievous Fern helps herself to any treats and human food that she can get her paws on, and has even taken a cheeky sip of whisky from a glass on a coffee table! Click to find out why this isn’t a good idea!
But Fern’s owners, Maya Richards and Archie Bowers, doesn’t mind. In fact, that’s just how Fern is according to Richards.
“She loves her food,” Richards said. “We love her just the way she is, and we would never even consider replacing her. She’s got so much personality, is incredibly funny, and she is the best thing that’s ever happened to us.”
